Fr. Leo has also served for many years as a volunteer chaplain for the Franklin County Sheriff's Department where he has ministered to many families and sheriff's deputies for over three decades. He is there during tragic times to provide comfort to those in need.
βHe is the person at accident scenes who informs parents that they lost a child in a car crash. He is the one who embraces deputies when one of their own is shot in the line of duty. He is the one who spends days at a lake comforting everyone involved as law enforcement searches for a drowning victim." - Columbus Dispatch
Fr. Leo was also honored during a halftime show at The Ohio State University in 2019 for his years of service at the Franklin County Sheriff's Department.
