Passing of Msgr. Edward Fairchild

Hello Seton Family,

It is with great sadness that we announce Monsignor Edward J. Fairchild died peacefully this morning while under the care of the Carmelite Sisters and Staff at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor.

Monsignor Fairchild was the founding pastor of Seton Parish and served here from July 1, 1978 through July 1, 1988. After his retirement, he returned to Seton Parish to help with weekend Masses until 2020. His vision for Seton Parish lives on today through all of us. We honor him, his dedication, and commitment to this parish, and the great work he began over 43 years ago.

Calling Hours for Msgr. Ed Fairchild will be held Tuesday, 12/28 from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Seton Parish (600 Hill Rd. N. Pickerington, OH 43147).

Calling hours will continue at Seton Parish Wednesday, 12/29 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m.

Msgr. Stephan J. Moloney, Diocesan Administrator, will be the main celebrant and the priests of the Diocese of Columbus will be concelebrating.

Due to the funeral arrangements, there will not be an 8:30 am morning Mass on Wednesday, 12/29.
