“If you want God to hear your prayers, hear the voice of the poor.” - St. Thomas of Villanova
2021 Portsmouth Food Drive
For the past 17 years, Seton Parish has taken a team of volunteers and a truckload of food donations from our parishioners to Portsmouth, Ohio to feed families at Christmas.
You can find more information about how to volunteer and give on our portsmouth news article page.
Thank you for your prayers and support for this important ministry!
About Food Drive
Each year since 2004, the parishioners of Seton Parish have generously donated over “baskets” of food and supplies to the families of Portsmouth, Ohio and surrounding Scioto County.
In 2019, Seton Parish donated and delivered food for 900 families. This equates to over 1,800 grocery bags of food. 45,000 pounds of food!
Each bag is filled with a ham, fresh produce, canned goods, dry goods, and much more.
Like many of our outreach programs, we require not only the amazing generosity of our parishioners, but the involvement of our youth who spend two nights away from home sorting, packing, and delivering this food.
