About IHN
The Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) is a conglomeration of churches in the Columbus, Ohio area that provide meals and services for the residents at the YWCA Family Center.
The YWCA Family Center, located off 5th Ave at 900 Harvey Court Columbus, Ohio 43219 provides emergency shelter and services for up to 50 families each day.
Seton Parish prepares and serves dinner for 150-180 adults and children at the YWCA Family Center on the second Monday of each odd numbered month. Our service months are: January, March, May, July, September, and November.
We always need assistance preparing the food on our menu as well as volunteers to go to the YMCA Family center to serve and visit with the families. The food can be prepared at your home and dropped off to Seton by 3:00 p.m. on the dinner day.

YWCA Shelter Guidelines
To protect the health of our families, we ask that volunteers who are sick or are caring for a sick family member (cold, flu, intestinal issues, etc.) please refrain from assisting with meal preparation or service of the meal.
For the safety of our volunteers, and per OSHA law, please remember that open-toed shoes, flip flops, and sandals, are NOT permitted to be worn in the kitchen.
Columbus Public Health requires that all individuals handling food observe proper hand washing. Volunteers will be prompted to wash their hands when they arrive and also utilize provided gloves.
Columbus Public health requires all food service personnel, including staff and volunteers, to wear hair coverings. This especially pertains to those with long hair. Family Center Food Service Staff will provide volunteer with hair nets.
Ohio law prohibits children under the age of 15 from preparing food and coming into contact with hot surfaces and knives; therefore children under the age of 15 are not permitted in the kitchen. Children are welcome to assist in setting and clearing of the tables with adult supervision.
