About American Heritage Girls

The AHG Program is dedicated to the mission of building women of integrity through service to God, family, community and country. AHG girls across the nation and the globe participate in badge programs, service projects, leadership opportunities, and outdoor experiences, all with an emphasis on Christian values and family involvement.

AHG is a Christ-centered character and leadership development program for girls aged 5-18. More information can be found at www.americanheritagegirls.org.

Troop OH-1820

Our troop meets on two Sundays a month in the afternoon. We are planning fall and spring camp outs! You can email our troop leadership at ahgsetontroop@gmail.com for our exact meeting schedule.  We would love to have your daughter, or daughters, join us for this exciting program, as we build Troop OH-1820!

AHG Units

AHG troops are split into 5 units based on the girl's age.

Pathfinders are 5-6 yr olds and they will be introduced to all aspects of AHG. They don't earn badges during this year but can participate in all events hosted by the troop. The girls will earn beads to add to a necklace for every meeting/event that they participate in.

Tenderhearts are 6-9 years old. They earn badges throughout the year. There are badges in 6 different frontiers: Heritage, Family Living, Arts, Outdoor Skills and Personal Well-being. Girls who complete their third year of Tenderhearts can earn the Sacagawea level award.

Explorers are 9-12 years old. They earn badges similar to the Tenderheart unit but have different requirements. Their level award is the Ida Scudder award.

Pioneers are 12-14 years old and Patriots are 14-18 years old. In these levels, the girl's Christian leadership skills accelerate through advanced opportunities in the troop and community. They can earn the Harriet Tubman level award in Pioneers and the Abigail Adams award for Patriots.

Finally, for Patriots that are ending their time in AHG, there is a Stars and Stripes award which is AHG's highest honor. It is similar to an Eagle scout.
